I learned Reel des Montagnes from a late 1920s shellac record of Victor Martin playing in Montreal, and later discovered that Don Messer also recorded it without a name on his album Atlantic Polka. If you've heard it in another context or with a different name I'd love to hear from you!
The second tune was used by the Laurentian Mountaineers as a theme song for their television show in the mid 20th centry, also in Montreal.

This is an album filled with amazing music but it’s hard to top a track with a rocking moneymusk followed by...a hidden track(!!!) with one of my favorite tunes, Tom Kruskal’s, played by the ones who wrote it! Jack Mitchell

Wonderful music. Great playing by all. There is so much great traditional music around today and this is amongst the best of them. Ensemble playing like this is the best. oldjembo
